Collie Buddz, born Colin Patrick Harper in 1984 in New Orleans, Louisiana, is a Bermudian reggae artist who has built a career blending infectious grooves, island vibes, and powerful collaborations. After studying studio engineering at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, Collie’s technical expertise propelled him into a music career marked by both artistic vision and commercial success. Early in his journey, he worked alongside Shaggy on the 2007 single “Mad Mad World,” and that same year released his self-titled debut album under Sony Music, featuring tracks such as “Come Around” and “Blind to You,” with the hit single “Mamacita” achieving over five million sales. His third studio album, Good Life, showcased collaborations with major artists including Snoop Dogg, Riff Raff, and P-Lo, and topped the US Billboard Reggae Albums chart. Collie continued to innovate with his Cali Roots Riddim album, producing all 22 tracks himself and collaborating with contemporary reggae acts like Stick Figure, The Elovaters, The Expendables, Pepper, The Movement, Iya Terra, and SOJA, while reggae producer Johnny Cosmic handled mixing. Known for high-energy performances and a global touring presence, Collie Buddz has become a defining voice in modern reggae, uniting traditional island sounds with contemporary flair. His music continues to resonate worldwide, making him a must-listen for fans of reggae and feel-good vibes alike.
