Bio

Jason Aldean, born Jason Aldine Williams in Macon, Georgia, has risen from small-town beginnings to become one of country music’s biggest stars, with his first public performance at 14 hinting at the talent that would define modern country rock—melding gritty rock riffs with traditional country storytelling and his signature dynamic vocals—and over his career, he has earned 28 number-one singles, sold more than 20 million albums, and racked up 18 billion streams, earning him the title of ACM Artist of the Decade. Turning down college baseball, he pursued music relentlessly, performing in bars and venues across the Southeast before moving to Nashville in 1998, and though early record deals with Warner-Chappell and Capitol Records didn’t pan out, a chance encounter with talent scout Lawrence Mathis in 2003 led him to Broken Bow Records, where his debut album, featuring hits like “Hicktown” and “Why,” launched him from struggling musician to rising star. Albums like Relentless, Wide Open, My Kinda Party, and Night Train cemented his reputation, each packed with chart-topping singles, while later work—including Old Boots, New Dirt, They Don’t Know, Rearview Town, 9, and Macon, Georgia—continued to blend traditional and modern sounds and showcased collaborations with stars like Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood. His 2023 album, Highway Desperado, proves he’s still in top form, and as he tours across the country, Jason Aldean remains committed to making unapologetically country music that fans love, keeping his place at the forefront of the genre for years to come.
