Born to a Bermudian father and a Canadian mother, Mishka was raised on a sailing vessel built by his parents who wanted to fulfill their dream of traveling the world by sea. Mishka’s childhood in the Caribbean sparked his interest in becoming a competitive windsurfer and songwriter. Mishka has devoted his life to writing, producing, and performing intimate reggae music. His lyrics speak to life lessons, love and authenticity, distrust of authority, and hope for common ground in a divided world. Mishka’s family is also heavily involved in music, as his sister Heather Nova and brother Jonathan Frith have played a role in crafting Mishka’s undoubtedly beautiful sound.
