Bio

Morgan Cole Wallen, born in 1993 in Sneedville, Tennessee, into a musical family, has become one of country music’s most compelling voices, blending heartfelt storytelling with catchy guitar hooks and pop-infused melodies. Exposed early to piano, violin, and church choir singing, Wallen initially focused on baseball, playing shortstop and pitcher at Gibbs High School, the same alma mater as Kenny Chesney, until an injury shifted his path toward music. Inspired by Eric Church, Keith Whitley, and Alan Jackson, he began honing his guitar skills and performing seriously, first stepping into the spotlight as a contestant on season six of The Voice in 2014, where he reached the playoffs on Adam Levine’s team. Leveraging connections from the show, he signed with Panacea Records and released his debut EP Stand Alone (2015), featuring the double-platinum single “Spin You Around.” Wallen’s first full-length album, If I Know Me, included hits like “Up Down” (feat. Florida Georgia Line), “Whiskey Glasses,” and “Chasin’ You,” cementing his rising status in country music under Big Loud Records. Despite public controversy, he returned stronger with Dangerous: The Double Album, boasting No. 1 debut, record-breaking streams, and hits including “Wasted On You,” “7 Summers,” “Sand In My Boots,” and “Cover Me Up,” alongside the crossover hit “Broadway Girls” with Lil Durk. His 2023 release One Thing At A Time continued the streak, topping the Billboard 200 with singles “Last Night,” “Man Made A Bar” (feat. Eric Church), and “Cowgirls” (feat. ERNEST), while Wallen embarked on a global tour hitting over 65 venues, including his home-state performance at UT Neyland Stadium. With collaborations like Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help” and new singles such as “Love Somebody,” Wallen continues to define modern country music, combining authenticity, melody, and storytelling in a sound all his own.
