About The Elovaters
The Elovaters have quickly become a household name for lovers of music in the style and feeling of Sublime, Jack Johnson, Stick Figure, Slightly Stoopid, G. Love, The Movement and more. Their music is a refreshing blend of reggae, ska, and progressive roots that they use to capture the full spectrum of feeling; from chilling in the sun on the beach with a margarita to rocking out dancing away all night long. The Elovaters now includes Jackson Weatherbee on lead vocals and guitar, Johnny “Blaze” Alves on lead guitar, Nick Asta crushing the drums, Matty Link on bass, Derrick Cabral on percussion and Greg Nectow playing keys. The band initially formed in 2014 in their hometown of Marshfield, Massachusetts under the name “The Cornerstone”. They made the rounds rising through the Boston concert scene leading up to their first release. Their first album was re-released with the original title of the group The Cornerstone in 2017. In 2018 The Elovaters cannonball splashed into the scene from the top diving board with their second album Defy Gravity debuting #1 on Billboard’s and iTunes Reggae charts. Hailing from just south of Boston, their city-titled homecoming anthem “Boston” was played during the Red Sox World Series Parade in 2018. Another track from the album, “People Go”, was featured in an episode of Hawaii Five-0. The group would continue to tour extensively, from classic venues such as the Paradise Rock Club and House of Blues in Boston to legendary Red Rocks Colorado and Reggae Rise Up festivals. In 2019 the band also recorded and released a five song set with Sugarshack Sessions. 2020 saw the group team up with Bret Bollinger and Pepper on the hit single “Let It All Out”, released with a fun music video skating around San Diego. The track was included in their EP Double Vision which also featured the single “Fast And Slow”. The Elovaters stayed busy through 2020 with a steady stream of singles with many collaborations including “New World” (with Tropidelic, Matisyahu, Bumpin Uglies), “Meridian” (with The Late Ones), “Meridian - Cosmic Dub” (with Johnny Cosmic and KBong), and “My Baby” (with E.N Young). In 2021 they released another EP, My Friend, which includes tracks with The Movement, Keznamdi, Orange Grove, and G. Love Special Sauce, which was quickly followed up by the expanded upon version of the EP Delorean. The Elovaters then released Gardenia (with Stick Figure) leading up to their next full record, Castles. The third album from the band included popular tracks “Margaritas”, “Criminal”, “My Friend”, “Gardenia”, and many more. 2022 saw the release of hit single “Gimme Love” as well as collaborations with Schwayze, Surfer Girl, Bumpin Uglies, and Roots of Creation. Their first release of 2023 was “All Her Favorite Songs” a first time collab with the fun dynamic duo Little Stranger. The Elovaters continued to release singles leading up to their most recent full length album release Endless Summer. The album was released on the Friday night they returned to their hometown hang, the Levitate Music and Arts Festival for the 10th anniversary year of the popular event in Marshfield. The band also just finished up 4 sold out nights of fun at the Levitate Backyard and will continue their fall tour around North America. The Elovaters put on a show that you can’t help but smile for, from the chill reggae beats to jaw dropping jams, fans love to see them continue to soar.
