The Movement is a reggae band that first formed in Columbia, South Carolina in 2004, quickly establishing themselves as a unique voice in the modern reggae scene. The group consists of Josh Swain on guitar and vocals, Jay Smiles Schmidt on bass, Matt Goodwin on keys, Gary Jackson on drums, and multi-instrumentalist Kyle Jerome, whose contributions on guitar, keys, and other instruments add depth and versatility to their sound. Their music is a vibrant fusion of reggae, rock, hip-hop, and acoustic elements, creating songs that are infectious, soulful, and uplifting. Known for their positive energy and feel-good vibes, The Movement has built a dedicated fanbase through electrifying live performances and compelling songwriting.
